Laurie Posner works on issues of social and economic inequity and inclusion. She attended the School of Public Affairs at Baruch College and served as a National Urban Fellow in San Antonio, Texas. Her poems can be found in the Santa Ana River Review; Rockland Lit; the museum of americana; the Squaw Valley Review; and Black Earth Institute’s 30 Days Hath September. Posner lives in Oakland, where she practices standard ballroom waltz and quickstep in the LGBTQ community, realizes dance really is a metaphor, and hopes someday to write about it.
